Why the pain?

I have a very dear friend who's mother is extremely sick, so sick that the Dr.'s have called hospice in. My friend is at a point of feeling little, she is emotionally numb. Her mother is a very great woman, someone I would like to be like. It is so hard to understand why people are going through all this pain.

Lord I need you to comfort my sweet friend her mother and her family. Your reasons are so much higher than anyone can understand. Even though this pain is so hurtful I thank you for it. Thank you for the love you have given all of them and that you have died for them!
